Pinion Options:

The CIM motor shaft is 0.313 in. (8 mm) in diameter and 1.25 inches long. It features a 2 mm wide machine key slot allowing installation of any number of custom or off the shelf pinions such as those included with all of our CIM based gearboxes. Other options include a pre-attached 16 tooth pinion making the CIM ready to mate to a CIM Sport planetary gearbox or a pre-attached 15 tooth pinion preparing the CIM for an EVO Gearbox. Use either of these two options if you are planning on using either the CIM Sport or an EVO gearbox and don’t want to install the press fit pinion yourself. All of our other CIM based gearboxes use a slip fit pinion & machine key and are easy for the end user to install.
